Help need in RHEL

Using a RHEL system at work place.

While I am minimizing an application window, I cannot find it in the taskbar. May you please help me, where it is going? How do I restore that window?

Also,
I want to use the system update as I do in my Ubuntu with the following commands,

Code:
aptitude update
what is the similar command that can be used in RHEL?

Hi,

I do not have Redhat distribution infront of me. Following steps will be almost similar to achieve what you are looking for.

Right Click on your task bar and select Add to panel from the list.

Select Window list from the available items. Now minimize your application and check the minimized applications in task bar.

You may check for new updates in RHEL with

Code:
# yum check-update

Dear, you cannot update RHEL ,unless you have registered your system with Redhat Inc. You can update your system from external community supported repository, like rpmforge, atrpm, fedora epel .
