I would like to dual boot my computer which already has Win 7(H P).It has three primary partitions(sys reserved,C:,D
NTFS)) & an extended partition with one logical partition & unallocated space of 100GB.
Given the fact that Linux can boot from a logical partition & most Linux OS uses MBR,
i)Can i use the 100Gb unallocated space to install Ubuntu 11.10 with Live DVD??
ii)Do i have to create /boot ,/root ,/home & swap area when i install with Live DVD??If so,how??
iii)If yes,will it start with /dev/sda6 .../dev/sda9,with /dev/sda5 for first logical partition??
iv)Is it possible to view contents of other drive(C:,D: etc) from Linux environment, how ?
Thanks in advance..
