HELP ME IT IS CRYTICAL I can't do nothing with my root user


Hey ya all....i'm very confused that my server don't let me to do nothing...And when i say nothing i mean....that creating files,modifying,creating users...Im desperate....I observed today..What should i do...It don't let me to remount.....Im runing fedora core 3

you say please, you say thankyou, you don't type in capital letters and you actually tell us what's happening after you catch your breath. is your system booting correctly? are all your filesystems mounted ok? can you read /var/log/messages for any errors? does your root user look ok in /etc/passwd? have you left services exposed to the internet allowing crackers to get in?
