Help me choose Linux Distro ?

Hello everyone :)

Please help me choose a linux distro!?

I have used Mandrake, RedHat, SuSE, Fedora, Ubuntu. I am looking for a distro that would support all this features or that it would be easy to implement them there.

-- GNOME and KDE (must have).
-- apt-get and apt-rpm (if possible)

I need to be able to handle *.deb files mainly, but with support for *.rpm files as well. Maybe even use pakage managment software, like Synaptic and Conectiva.

Support for:
-- Intel Corp. 2200BG Wirelless Card
-- NTFS read (if possible)

So far I am able to do most of this with ubuntu, but I need KDE as well. Btw, does kubuntu support KDE and GNOME or just KDE ?

From ubuntu:
Code:

sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop
and you now have KDE as well as Gnome, then your search is over.

Yeah, I have just found the same thing on google =) Thank You, m_yates. I think that what I will do, I am downloading kubuntu cd right now. I will try and tell you guys how it went ;) I think this is the best choice for me right now. Cuz everything is working, all I needed is kde.

Also apt-rpm how do I install that, so I can handle rpm packages as easy as deb ? Or, is there any other easy package management system for rpms like apt-get for deb ?

6.04 == April 2006

To install .rpm packages on Ubuntu (debian), use alien.
