Hi,

So far I know you need to Reinstall os or upgrade your kernel version.

Not necessarily but the lack of information provided shows ignorance about asking questions.

Since the question states that as soon as the CD is booted from he receives a "kernel not syncing", I would check the bios for anything strange.

I have had problems with bios managed CPU clocking in linux. (This was before the Intel I3,I5,I7 series of CPU's came out.)

Not only that but I found a strange problem where "some" linux distros don't manage RAID5 correctly and refuse to boot unless you disable that functionality in the bios.

It could also be "bytes" of bad RAM thats still being addressed.

We would need to know the model numbers of all the hardware of the computer including the model number of the motherboard to really be able to help. This would rule out any driver related problems.

You could also use Memtest86 to test the RAM to rule out any RAM problems.
