Right, I tried to install XP pro on my machine and seriously messed up. So now I get errors. So generally I though ''This is it, im going to try linux!''

So, I have downloaded SuSe 9.1 live cd and am very impressed !

What I want to know are 4 things;

1)Can I install off the live CD ? Can youy tell me the command line ? (I want to install straight to HD)
2)Does it come installed with WINE or some other windows emu
3)Can I put in a windowsXP disc later on, and install, without wiping linux ?
4)Anyone know how I can get my SpeedTouch 120 Wireless USB card working easily ?

Sorry for double post, but I need this fixed. My father is going to kill me x_x

1) No you cant install it from the livecd , you have to download the install version

2) sorry i dont know , but it wont be hard to add it as YAST makes installing software very easy

3) yes you can as you will install windows on another partition , but you will have to restore the bootloader as windows will remove it when you install it

it's always easier to install windows first. 'cos everytime you install windows it formats the master boot record, effectively wiping out any boot loader installed.

also, try and stay away from the 1cd suse distro, when i tried it, it didn't include gcc(the c++ compiler).go for something like mandrake or fedora, they're supposed to be very newb friendly.
