Help instlling nxlog on centos

Hi Im an american in India. The software place that I work for is looking to upgrade their infrastructure and needs my help FIrst on their list is to tighten their monitoring. Ive found a log collection program that is fastser that syslog and would like help installing it on centos.

Please help?

mkdir -p /usr/local/var/run/nxlog/
mkdir /var/log/nxlog/
mkdir -p /usr/local/var/spool/nxlog/
mkdir /usr/local/etc/nxlog
useradd nxlog
cp /root/nxlog-ce-2.3.1027/packaging/debian/nxlog.init /etc/init.d/nxlog
sed -i 's/\/usr\/bin\/nxlog/\/usr\/local\/bin\/nxlog/g' /etc/init.d/nxlog
vim /usr/local/etc/nxlog/nxlog.conf
bash -x /etc/init.d/nxlog start

But the easiest way is to use ubuntt, and just use the package management system. Is that an option for you?

Wow. that was fast!! Ubuntu is not an option ofr me thoguh. I have another question ill put in abouter forum

Help with WHAT? You don't tell us what version of CentOS, don't tell us what software (we have to get nxlog from the subject line), tell us where you got the program, or what error(s)/problem(s) you're having. So what can we tell you??
