How do you install this? I have downloaded the CDs from a bittorrent website and then joined them together using hjsplitpro, now I have 5 files with the extension *.file, ie CD1 suse82_1.file 729,584 KB. What do I do now?
I have Nero to burn the CDs when I get them! I understand from a google search that the extension file is an IBM - UNIX extension - I just want to know how to load them onto my pc.
When you say 'burn' the CD - do you mean just save the file onto a CD? I am running Windows XP at the moment and do not have linux installed - I am going to partition the hard drive using Partition Magic. I am pretty new at all this linux stuff
No, he means pull up a cd-writer program, load the image you downloaded into it, and "burn" a cd. This is much different than saving.
Ps. If you have difficulty with this, you may want to go pick up a few linux guides and general computer guides, and read them, before you install anything. As installing linux is a tad bit more complicated than the relatively simple process of burning a cd.
