Question Help Installing Samsung ML-1740 Printer

Is there a way to install the samsung ml-1740 printer without using the samsung front end? It is very annoying...i.e. have to go through 2 windows to print. Using Fedora Core 3.

it's a ML-1740, must be new model? It comes with a cd, will install and wor ok. The problem is.. i.e

1. if using open opffice to type document, go to file...print.
2. the open office print window pops up
3. hit ok
4. samsung window (front end) pops up.
5. hit ok again
6. printer prints

Maybe what I am asking is there a way to pull a "driver" off of the cd and use cups (localhost:631) to install the printer so I don't have to deal with Samsung's software on my box?

I got it to work. Not sure what I was doing wrong. I'm just glad to be free of windows. Thanks.
