Help!!! Getting Wireless Card set up
 

Please forgive me but I am a novice to linux and have run into a couple of roadblocks.
distro opensuse 10.3
DELL Dimension 8100 desktop, p4 cpu, 1G ram, 320G HD
Wireless card NETGEAR WG311v3
I have not had any luck getting this wireless card set up. I followed several threads and everything pointed to getting ndiswrapper. I have hooked the PC up to the internet by ethernet cable and I think I have the ndiswarpper loaded now. Can someone point me in the direction of what to do next. In order to get this PC online I have taken the Wireless card out and installed the ethernet card...I have other PCs to get online with.
1. how can I make sure the ndiswrapper is loaded on the PC?
2. can I unhook the PC from the internet and continue with the wireless set up? or do I need to keep it online to get this finished?

Does lsmod show ndiswrapper (lsmod|grep ndiswrapper)? Does ndiswrapper -l show the drivers installed? If both answers are yes, does the interface show up with ifconfig ( or iwconfig )?

What kind of help do you need, if you ask in your other thread we may be able to help. Did you read the tutorial? You will need to know how to get into terminal.
