Help! Getting error while installing RDEL 5.2 "Unable to read package metadata......"

hi! guys
i am new to this forum and also to Linux.I have just tried to install
RHEL 5.2 on AMD system from dvd using both graphical and text setup and got the following error.

"Uable to read package metadata.This may be due to a missing repodata directory. Please ensure that your unstall tree has been correctly generated. Cannot retrieve repository metadata(repomd.xml) for repository:anaconda-base-200804301824.i386. Please verify its path and try again."

if you are tiring to update the UNSUPPORTED "free" version of RHEL5 without buying the tech support then you won't be able to update it
Unless you point you to the CentOS repos

that error might be a "bad"dvd burn .Did you verify the hash ?
have you tried burning a new dvd?
