help !!! cd lost


rebooted my pc and now i cant acces my cd rom drive under redhat 9... its not in /mnt what do i do ???

Do you know what device it is? Does it show up as a device?
ls -l /dev/hd*

Look at the output of dmesg. Any messages on recognizing your cdrom drive?
Any errors?

brw-rw---- 1 root cdrecording 11, 0 Jan 30 2003 /dev/scd0


got this one wich is wat i use for my dvd's and my cd writer

but it just doesnt show in the folder and i have tried to burn a cd and erase a cdrw and play a dvd but just says no cd and it couldnt find it

lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 5 Dec 28 02:02 /dev/dvd -> cdrom


this one too and the dvd and cdrom flashes red ??
