Help burning disk #2 in Mandrake

I am new to Linux and have been trying out a few of the more common distros, but I can not get Mandrake 9.0 disk 2 to copy. I have burned a lot of disk with different distros and
have not had a problem. I have downloaded the Mandrake disk 2 from at least 5 different mirrors thinking that the mirror could be the problem. I am using Easy CD Creator 5 Basic and everytime I get ready to copy it Easy CD Creator opens and then crashes before it gives you a chance to start the copy. This is the only ISO file that it ever happens with. Anybody have any tips. I want to test Mandrake and I have but with the 1 installation disk only. I want to get a more complete install. Thanks

Check md5sum on the ISO you downloaded, the currect sum should be posted on the mirror along with ISO's. There is an utility for windows to perform sum check, so googling around and search here will reveal it.

I finally got it. I had to change some settings in Easy CD Creator. That was the only disk that it acted funny with so I thought it might be a file problem. Thanks everyone.

I am having a similar problem with Easy CD Creator Platinum 5.3 - what changes did you have to make? I can't get cd 1 or 2 to burn.

Any help gretaly appreciated.

I had used Easy CD Creator on a free demo and I have since uninstalled it. Forgive me if some of this is a little off because I am just going with my memory. Try opening up the app and click on make data cd> then I believe under file, then preferences OR options check the default copying files. My version came set with something like "joilet", If that is your case change the default to ISO ####. Then save the setting. I hope that helps.

Thanks for coming back. These were the same settings I am using.

Back to the drawing board

Update - Easy CD Creator faied miserable, downloaded a Bdemo of Nero and that also failed. Found cd1 and 2 of Mand 8.2 on a magazine, so I have installed it. All is well.

Thanks for the help.
