Angry Help!!


Hi, I'm extremely new to Linux.... if i enter a simple address like www.google.co.uk into my browser address bar I keep getting the message "Firefox can not find the server"....what am i doing wrong?????

Two things. First, please don't post messages titled "Help!", "Help Me!", "Urgent!" or anything of that sort. It's not informative, hampers the normal working of the site, and hinders your ability to get decent responses, as many experienced posters will just ignore your post without opening it.

To address your problem: does anything network related work? What is your connection type? Wired? Wireless? Do you actually have an account with an ISP and a connection? If wireless, which wireless card, and what have you done to try to configure it for a connection to your router?
