Would someone please tell me what the overall best distro of linux for stability, user friendlyness and compatability

well all of them are stable, but the easiest would have to be when starting out new with linux i would say is mandrake, i have seen lots with problems with 8.0, you might want to start out then with 7.2 or whatever. what are you wanting to do with the linux box might determine what you want to install as well.
