my sound card for intel 915 gv chipset doesn't work for suse and other linux os what will i do

I have a intel 915GLVG based motherboard with 120GB hard disk and on board sound card.
i have a suse linux system on my desktop.
suse does not detect my sound card.
my sound family is ICH6.
