First of all, welcome to the board.

In order for anyone to help, you will need to supply some information.

Please tell us the hardware you are attempting to install linux on. Make model, amount of ram, hard drive size, the more information you tell us, the more it will help.

You need to tell us what distro you have tried to install, how far you got, and what errors you have.

Tell us what has worked so far, where you are stuck. For example, have you partitioned the hard drive, have you formatted the new partitions and with what file system.

Is this a dual boot setup?

We can not see your system, we only know what you tell us.

Hope this gets you going in the right direction.

What is the error you are getting?
You installing which Linux distribution?
You want to dual boot it? i.e You need Windows and Linux both?
What are the hardware specification of pc/laptop/system you are using?
Do you know you will need some free space on Your system to install Linux, if it already has some other OS?
Are you aware about knnopix or live cd/dvd of various Linux Distributions?

Probably you just need to download more ram:

(edit) Whoops, I just checked, and it only works on Windows and Mac, my mistake. Sorry for the questionable advice, it's Friday.

Kind of scared me to look that link up. The site is a joke site.

Walter, you don't really need to install linux. Try SuseStudio. Make or use a distro online in a web browser. Get the hang of it.

Telling us what happened with your install may be beneficial to us.

I have installed many linux distro's and are almost able to install them upside down hanging from a chandelier blindfolded. ;-)

So you come to right place / forum for help.

The only thing we ask from u is to supply us with as much information possible about your problem(s) and what hard- and software you are using.

Kind regards.
