I will be attempted my first fedora and winxp dual boot install on a single drive. Any pointers? I will be using Core 2 which is required for a college course I am taking.

Fedora core 2 is very old, very unpolished, probably very buggy.
I believe you will have less problems with core 5.

lol, firstly, it is noob ("nob" is something quite different ;) )

I think fedora core is able to repartition your wimbloez partition so it should remain useable.

If Grub screws up and your Win XP installation is still there, you cana use the Windows discs to go into "Recovery Console" and use the

command to fix the master boot record

although, everything SHOULD run smoothly (beleve me, fedora/redhat have been in the linux business for a long time so there should be few/no problems!

BUT: remember to make a backup of your windows stuff first!

Yeah, it is, but if the course requires it, then he better use it (FC5 is a LOT different to FC2!)

Thanks for the quick replies guys...I would like to use the latest version of Fedora for my dual boot but like I stated in my last post this is for a college course so they are using this version.
