Hello/Certification Questions
Hello everyone!
I am for better (or worse) a Linux newbie. I have a very small amount of Linux experience but am trying to gear my way toward a RHCT cert and eventually RHCE. I feel it will be better for me to do it in steps rather than study both and take the RHCE. That being said, I've seen that most (if not all) people on here recommend Michael Jang's book for the exam(s) mentioned above. Above all, however, they recommend hands-on experience. My questions is this. If RHEL is not a regular part of my work, how can I using my home computer get the experience I need to be successful with the RHCT? What sort of tasks can I set for myself in order to go through what I'll go through on the RHCT and once installed and set up. What are some tasks that I would do to further my preparation? The problem to me seems that once I get it set up I would only use ti for web browsing and I'm trying to not let that happen. Thanks! SGlassman |
well rhce is about configuring squid, tcpwrappers, postfix, dovecot, sendmail, apache... if you can install them and use them all yourself you'll be well on your way.
