hda under linux


Hi;
I want to mount my primary master hard under linux
I type: mount -t vfat /dev/hda1
but does not mount

what do i do??

You need to mount it *somewhere* (think of mounting as hanging your coat on a coathanger - you need a coathanger). You need a mount point, i.e. a directory somewhere in your filesystem (e.g. /mnt/windows - you might need to create it). Then do:

mount -t vfat /dev/hda1 /mnt/windows
