having wine install probs with mandrake

Hi,

well im using Mandrake 10.2 Test for the x86_64 and when i download the wine installer (even tough its not x86_64, cuz i cant find those...) it says it succesfully installed but if i enter wine file.exe it gives me errors

What am I doing absolutely wrong, becuz Im a real newbie
Only used suse like a week, and this is my first day on mandrake

Well i need wine to emulate 2 MMOPGS, WoW and Helbreath
So if any1 had any luck with these please let me know

You are better off using Cadega from Transgamming to get those games working. The problems with Cadega is you have to use kernel version 2.4.x because kernel version 2.6.x screws up the encryption that is on the CD. I suggest using Mandrake 9.2 or find a way to use kernel version 2.4.x.

You should first try wine notepad. This will make a fake Windows directory structure and run notepad. If it works then you can install winetools and try to get your games running. Not be harsh, you will not be able get those games running because most of them are dependent on the CD during the game.

well so if i would like to emulate world of warcraft wish is not cd required, is there then still a version of wine that runs under mandrake 10.2?

well i now installed wine trough the graphic and console method but when i configure it with

Doing so will compile Wine, install Wine and configure the Wine environment (either by providing access to a Windows partition or by creating a properly configured no-windows directory environment).

then it gives me this error

i tried it on normal user mode, wich should be, and also tried as root, none are working

Like i said before im on mandrake 10.2
