Having trouble with screen resolution


I'm currently having trouble changing my screen resolution from 800x600 to 1024x768. I've read other's posts about this problem by changing the XFree86config manually and using the graphical interface but none have seemed to help. I just installed Red Hat 9 today and so there are many default options that i may not know about. During the installation, the setup asked what the screen size would be and it only gave two choices 800x600 or 640x480. I chose the larger of the two hoping that I could easily change it later. If anyone could help, it would be extremely appreciated.

Open a terminal window and type :

"redhat-config-xfree86 -v"

omigosh i am also having torouble with screen resolution but i'm running Mandriva 2007.

at first i thought it was distros... PCLinux, SuSe 10.1, and now this all look really big.

can't seem to type in the right things in the console....

i'm so stupid!!
