Having trouble booting up
Hi everyone!
I ran into a big problem today. I've updated my system halfway due to some reasons. I'm using fedora 18 on a VMware using a yum update command. After I powered up my laptop and booting up Fedora via VMware, the screen shows like this: http://www.flickr.com/photos/94591182@N07/8612243473/ I'm struggling doing this for my final year project in school and I hope there is a way to can solve this problem. Thank you so much! |
Sorry, that screenshot means little to me; have you tried booting the VM of the fedora DVD iso
into rescue mode (assuming fedora DVD's have one)? |
Let me get this right
you did this About half way through the update you turned off the computer if so You have a problem that might NOT be fixable the easiest thing to do is reinstall that screen shot looks like during boot it can not mount the os to start it with this being a VM install you might not be able to use the install dvd to run it is "rescue" mode |
