having problem with mplayer installation
 

i am very new to slackware and using slackware12
i try to install mplayer from http://www.thelinuxblog.com/slackwar...-3-easy-steps/ but when i am going for ./configure the out put is ./configure: No such file or directory
does anyone tell me how can i install mplayer step by step? please i am very new

Another option is to use SlackBuild to install Mplayer
Read the howto to see how to install a slackbuild

Thanks for suggestion bathory i installed mplayer but i am not able to play any video can you please tell me how can i play?

You also need some codecs in order to play videos.
You can get Mplayer codecs from here and use the Slack.build to install them.
