Have you ever used cygwin, i've met a problem with the command stat from cygwin

Recently, I have to do some automation tests related to getting file attributes, I run the test scripts on a windows 2003, but the test files reside on a Netapp NFS and CIFS volumes. I used SFU to help me browser the files from the windows side.

Simply put, I tried to use the command "Stat" from cygwin to get the file access time info. but it doesn't work, since every time I run "stat", the access time will be changed to the current time. so it's useless. and I do some investigation use this "stat" command, if I try to get the file access time info of a local file, I mean, I file reside on the windows, it works ok, and I know on the linux side, it won't change the access time when I run "stat", So, Is there anyone who has relevant experience?

Many thanks in advance, and any ideas will be appreciated.
Andy
