have long file list; want to find word matches(package deletion purposes)
i listed all the packages on my debian system and downloaded a "kicklist.txt" from the internet. after i did the apt-get remove command on the kicklist.txt it didn't delete anything and stopped after saying 10 programs on the list weren't found.
since that didn't seem to work; i did a hpkg >> package.txt; so now im looking at a list of packages INSTALLED and a list of packages i want to DELETE and i just was wondering if i could do a simple diff or merge type command to find the matches, output to another txt and delete that list.
