Hardware Information
 

I am running (actually it just runs itself since I am not sure how to run it yet! LOL) Mandrake 9.2 and am wondering how I find out what type of hardware my system has. I am looking for some type of listing showing all the components, etc. on my system.

Any suggestions?

You can either type 'lspci' or get more verbose information by typing 'cat /proc/pci'.

The /proc directory contains a gazillion interesting little files.

Go to http://freshmeat.net and search for
lshw ....

Or, have a good look through your entire
/proc directory and its files :) (Don't, however,
less/cat the file named kcore :})
