Hardware and redhat to run Oracle

I am wanting to purchase a desktop or workstation to run Oracle 11g and E-Business suite -- Does Dell have Redhat OS and will a desktop or workstation be the best setup? thanks in advance

I think you should also see the appropriate Redhat and Oracle (OTN) pages to know the minimum configuration required.

Hi,

Take a look at the minimum specs for oracle (ram ,cpu, disk) , add specs for RedHat Linux and check your prefered hardware vendor. As all databases most critical is disk I/O as one of the slowest components.

For development system i prefere to use a seperate disk for database files to prevent the disk I/O on system disks.

All major vendors provides hardware which will meet the requirements,
