Hard Drive Unpartitioning on a Gateway Laptop

I recently had Kubuntu Linux running on 1 partition and Windows XP on another. I decided to wipe my laptop and start over, but when I did, I found out that my windows only had it's 35 GB partition instead of the whole 60 GB. I need to know how to unpartition a hard drive. I stink with linux and don't know anything about it. I had a friend set up linux for me, but he is halfway across the world right now, so I can't ask him. How do I unpartition my hard drive? I don't care if I have to rewipe my laptop, I just want all 60 GB on my Windows partition. I need to kill my linux one and carry it all to my Windows one. Can I have a step by step please? I'm n00bish at this. Thank you.

If you're not going to reinstall Windows, you should be able to first fix the MBR with your windows disk (select repair) and then run fixmbr.

Anyway, once you fix the mbr so that it uses NTLDR again, in Windows just right click on My Computer and select "Manage". Then go into "Storage" --> "Disk Management(Local)". From there, you should be able to select the other partition and delete it/reformat it. I'm not sure if you can "grow" the system from there or not. If not, I would download GParted LiveCD and use that to grow the C: partition.

Nvm! I did it myself! Yay! I feel so proud of myself!
But let me check to make sure I didn't kill anything...Ok here's what I did:
I booted up the ubuntu live cd I had and clicked on install. On step 5 (the partition part), I every partition but the FAT32 and the NTFS. I then made the NTFS 52.6 gigs (what it is supposed to be). And there you go! This won't make Darth Vader come and kill my computer will it? thnks

Congratulations! :) Not sure what you mean about Darth Vader though...

Hope you come back and try linux again sometime. But you should use whatever you need to get your job done. Good luck!
