Question Handspring Visor

Hi someone some time aog told me how to get my Visor to work in RH8, I am now using Mandy 9 which I like a lot better for some reason.
I have manged to get my pilot to sycn ok but I can not see my data. I am running KDE 3.
I somehow think their is a command I need to runin the terminal to make it work right.
Could someone please tell me what this is.
ALso is there another Pilot program besides Kpilot?
IT looks ok but I am open to new things.

Thanks,
ikw38/Dallas

alternative to kpilot

I have been using jpilot (needs pilot-link) for a long time and it is very stable. The avantgo syncmal plugin also works great.

You could also then compile the mail program sylpheed with
the --enable-jpilot switch to have your contact list available.

I tried this here jpilot and it keeps coming up with exciting status -10.
Looks like a great little program if I can git it to work.

I had the same error. If you are using a serial connection then enter:

ln -s /dev/ttyS0 /dev/pilot (Or whichever serial port you are using)

If you are using a USB connection, you may also need to make the link between your USB connection and the pilot device. As soon as I did that link, it synched with no sweat and everything showed up nicely in jpilot.

I would strongly recommend jpilot. It's on your distro CD along with pilot-link.
