Handicapped person uses mouthstick w/Kensington Expert Mouse Pro/having trouble

I switched from XP to Linux. Now I'm having trouble with speed of movement of the mouse. I looked for new driver--unsuccessful. Please help.

Have you tried...

Not sure if this is exactly the issue, but have you tried adjusting the mouse acceleration and sensitivity in Fedora? If you click on System | Preferences | Mouse, pointer speed is the 3rd option down. Dial them up and this should speed up the mouse.

explanation

I mean that I use a mouthstick to move the trackball up/dwn/side ways. It takes me about 12 times to move the cursor from bottom to top--instead of 1 time to zip it whatever way I need.

mouse question

I am a quadriplegic and use a mouthstick held between my teeth to move my mouse trackball. I've always used Kensington Expert Mouse Pro, which is not working that well since I've changed from XP to Linux. Could you please give me some ideas of which trackball type mouse work best with Linux?

There's some info on this page:

http://www.janerob.com/rob/kens-emouse/

regarding full functionality of the kensington expert mouse in linux. Not sure if you've already been there....
