Guidance on what Plug-ins' I require to read a newspaper within Linux.

I have subscribed to an on-line version of local newspaper but keep being asked for Plug-ins. I terms of computer literacy I am am at the toddler stage so some basic steps that would allow me to read my local rag would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Firefox...

If you are going to read the newspaper using Firefox or a similar browser, there is a flash player plug-in. That may be what the newspaper requires. There is usually an offer to download the missing plug-in, giving you a chance to find out what is wanted.

If it is the flash plug-in, look to see if you already have it in the list of extensions/plug-ins installed in your browser. In Firefox, they are under Tools, Add-ons at the top of the screen.

Mint has many media player already configured. Look at the packages you have installed, then check the Mint repositories for Adobe or flash if you need to install it.

If Firefox isn't your browser, or my explanation is not sufficient, post back with more information.
