gui wont start

I have RH 9.2 installed on my machine and everything was fine until I changed the resolution of the screen and restarted. What happens now is that the gui login screen doesnít come up at all and the command line login screen appears and disappears every 1 or 2 seconds. I canít even log in to do anything. How can i fix that? Do I have to install RH again? Please help

Sounds to me like there is an error either with the Xserver setup or the desktop manager, such as gdm.

Sounds like it keeps trying to startup and failing and retrying.

look for logs to show you where the problem lies, should be in /var/log/ somwhere
