GUI RDP to linux from windows box


I want to do GUI RDP to RHEL 5 from windows .i have downloaded the freenx software on the windows box.
please help me with next steps.

2002anand,
You will have to install the Freenx rpm onto your RHEL linux. It can be downloaded from here :

Once the server is up and running on the RHEL box you should be able to run the freenx client from your windows and a remote desktop window opens with dimensions according to your settings and configs.
Also make sure that if you have a firewall running the rules are adjusted so the rdp ports allow for the connection.

Hi Uncle-c

I have downloaded client,node and server packages.
Do i need to install anything on the windows box?

Obviously make sure that you have the freenx client installed on the Windows box. As you will be wanting to remote to the Linux your RHEL must have the freenx server running.

i use xrdp which allows me to connect to my fedora server from my pocket-pc-5.0 fone (using terminal services client) i think it would work the same on windows.
