gtk problem
Hey there.
The problem is when i launch mldonkey, well the gui for it, g2gui, i get this: Gtk-WARNING **: Unable to locate loadable module in module_path: "libbluecurve.so", Gdk-WARNING **: Missing charsets in FontSet creation Gdk-WARNING **: ISO10646-1 Gdk-WARNING **: JISX0208.1983-0 Gdk-WARNING **: KSC5601.1987-0 Gdk-WARNING **: GB2312.1980-0 Gdk-WARNING **: JISX0201.1976-0 That`s not the actual problem. The big problem is that mldonkey doesn`t view any text in any field, that is I don`t even know what I am downloading. I`ve cheched this libbluecurve.so, it`s in /usr/lib/gtk.... or /usr/lib/gtk2.0. There`s also a file libbluecurve.la where some info about the above library is and everyting seems fine. I don`t get it. Maybe somebody knows where I can find gtk config files ?? |
I have this same error involving the GTK+ package during my attempt to run nessus.
Gtk-WARNING **: Unable to locate module in module-path: "libbluecurve.so" There have been absolutely zero responses to this post, but 66 views. So my guess is this is happening to other people as well. Does anybody have the solution yet? Thx! |
Yeah, that is for sure. I`ve solved this problem really easy. I`ve switched from RH9.0 to Slackware 9.1, no problems at all, maybe this REALLY UNSTABLE 2.6 kernels on my nforce2. It seems that there is a problem with APIC and nforce2, but 2.4 runs just fine. No problems with gkt, no problems with dependency hell, none problems with Slackware. IMO a very good linux distribution.

phew!!!
it is not a real answer, sorry... if your car is broken, you're rather trying to repair it, not to buy a new one... Slack is good, but I have the same problem with xmms on k8 gentoo 2005.1 platform, with kernel 2.6-15-gentoo-r5. Here is this shit: Code:
piotao@venona:~$ xmms |

My suggestion is to emerge bmpx. For now of course. The problem with xmms could be gtk+-1.* related. Try if this happens with other software. Xmms gives me some output too: Gdk-WARNING **: Missing charsets in FontSet creation Gdk-WARNING **: JISX0208.1983-0 Gdk-WARNING **: KSC5601.1987-0 Gdk-WARNING **: GB2312.1980-0 Gdk-WARNING **: JISX0201.1976-0 So you should ignore this warning. http://lists.ximian.com/pipermail/gl...ry/000459.html I think it won't help you much, though. Maybe try to downgrade xmms or gtk+-1.* . Maybe a patch introduced this bug. Remember that gentoo is patching alot more than other distros ( I think ). |
