Gstreamer vs Xine
I know this topic has been talked about in allot different forums. I've read the only ones that had made sense to me. In Fedora 12, Gstreamer is going to be the default phonon backend in KDE4. What does that mean, Gstreamer is superior then Xine. Gstreamer, I heard it's a resource hogged, not near to being stable or mature. Xine, mature, stable, and sounds better. My favorite is RealPlayer but as of right now, there aren't phonon backends for that player.
I have a HD sound card and have notice differences in sounds between the players I used. I want to use the best possible player, I'm currently using Xine and considering changing to Gstreamer. Is that wise choice? Does Gstreamer supports EQ and how is the quality of output for Gstreamer using the EQ vs Xine?
