grub rescue
 
i am tring to install linux. i am recieving the message error: no such partition. grub rescue>

If you've installed Linux and then rebooted your machine and get this error there is something wrong with your Grub config, it's probably looking at the wrong partition when trying to boot the system.

try using the Super Grub Boot Disk or rescatux to repair your grub installation.
