Hey guys... My mistake was that I formated a drive using windows 7, expecting no problems from it. Then, reboot,

Tried a few things like using live usb to reinstall 12.04 LTS, using boot-repair. Nothing helps because before completing any of those, my laptop shuts down.

Later, tried to use gparted and realised, the drive I reformated was unallocated. Wanted to allocated, can't because the primary is maximised with one extended. So yeah, help please.

I'm at my wits end here. Thanks.

Any other way? Need to procure the live-cd first which can only be done a bit later than I anticipated.
