Unhappy Grub option missing after formating Windows

Hi all,
I was using Win Xp ,and i installed Ubuntu ,I used to get an option to select windows or Ubuntu before,I formatted Windows and now am not able to find the grub menu where iI could select Ubuntu,.How to get the grub enabled ?
windows is working fine but am missing Linux

When you reinstall windows it overwrites MBR.
If you have a Ubuntu installation disk you can reinstall grub.

If you need graphical environment the desktop version has it.
