grub Not seeing Windows on 2nd Drive.

I installed linux on my main drive with grub on the mbr. I installed windows 2000 on a second drive which sits on the Second channel as master. I edited the grub menu.lst to point to hdb(0,0) is this correct? Shouldn't this work?
Thanks

Try putting something like this in /boot/grub/menu.lst

title Windows
root (hd1,0)
chainloader +1

Hey,
I have something like this in my grub.conf:

title Windows XP
map (hd0) (hd1)
map (hd1) (hd0)
rootnoverify (hd1,0)
chainloader +1

Maybe that will help you.

hd(0,x) is the first recognized drive, hd(1,x) is the next etc. etc...

With linux on the second drive:
title Windows
rootnoverify (hd1,0)
map (hd0) (hd1)
map (hd1) (hd0)
chainloader +1
