Grub Menu Help

Hello,

I am having trouble with Grub. In the past I was able to create a graphical Grub menu with the menu items in the center of the screen. I got rid of Linux a while ago (wife didn't like it) and now that I've installed it on my laptop I can't remeber how I did it. I have searched everywhere I can think and all keywords that I can and still no help. I have an image I want to use and I have put a space for the menu entries in the center of the screen. Can you guys please help.

Gerald

Here is an article at Arch Linux Wiki. Look at #GRUB_THEME and #GRUB_BACKGROUND

Thanks but that's not it. I know I have to use the left, right, top, etc commands but I can't remember where.

like this

boot_menu {

top = 50%
left = 50%
height = 5%
width = 10%

}

But I can't remember where.

That helps find the solution. You want to edit the theme (or create your own). Here is a tutorial on creating your own or editing the theme you are using. Scroll down to section 4.3 for the boot-menu portion.
