"Grub Loading, please wait... Error 15"... huh?

So I powered up my desktop which has the latest (I believe) version of Ubuntu.

I haven't used this computer in a few months and the last I recall, it ran properly. I just turned it on and got this error, it won't load the operating system.

Sorry I can't be any more specific, lol... this is all I can really explain about it. Should I just insert the Ubuntu disc and re-install? or is there some sort of /fdisk-ish command I can run?

I'm a n00b, thanks for understanding.

Error 15 is "file not found". You can check the /boot/grub/menu.lst file and see if the kernel and initrd names and path match the actual names. You can try to boot with a LiveCD like Knoppix (or eventually even the Ubuntu LiveCD), mount the partition containing the /boot directory and check from there. Eventually you can reinstall grub, but it is not needed if you change only the menu.lst file without touching the partition scheme.
