Grub loader does not recognize my wireless keyboard

I have a mini tower that started life using only Windows XP, I converted it to dual boot Umbuntu 10.04 and Windows XP. So far, so good, since I was using a ps2 mouse and keyboard. My problem started when I converted to wireless keyboard and mouse.....the bios recognizes the keyboard, both operating systems recognize the keyboard and mouse....BUT!!, the grub loader recognizes neither. Now, I can get around this problem by 1. letting Umbuntu load by default or unplugging the USB connection device for the keyboard and mouse and replugging my old ps2 keyboard long enough to boot to the system that I want to use. Needless to say this is a very awkward solution....does anyone know how to get the grub loader to recognize the wireless keyboard?

first of all grub only reads bios. second this is a bios problem third the keyboard works when you boot into a operating system. Open bios and see if there is a usb setting for grub to read.
usb legcy usb mouse etc.
since this is a hardware issue how about posting your hardware specs. like name make model bios lspci etc.. when linux starts it reads the lspci and hal loads the drivers.
The usb wireles keyboard is a very old low level device you may have to enable it in bios to get grub to use it. one time I had to move it to another usb pluugin on a old machine.
