Hit <Esc> when the SuSE bootscreen first pops up - we need to see the list from the BIOS point of view not after SuSE has booted.

What I meant was don't change the BIOS bootdisk - any other changes (say to any of the menu.lst) need to be mentioned as you do them.

Problem Solved

I gave up. (for a couple of reasons) I couldn't find a bunch of libraries that I needed in SUSe, and nothing seemed to be working, so I have simply gone to RHEL5.4. It took me a bit, but I eventually found the libs that I needed to get the older software up and running.
