Grub issue on booting into Ubuntu 12.04 [Minimal BASH-Like line...]
 
Hi,

I am very new to Linux and I dual booted my PC with Ubuntu and to my dismay every time I choose the option to boot into Ubuntu I get the message below, I have no clue what to do, as I have not even once used Ubuntu :/

Can someone please help me :(

You have done a wubi install which installs Ubuntu inside windows as a program. You can see this by looking at the bootinfoscript output showing partition number sda5 is ntfs (windows) and just below it showing sda5Wubi. You have windows installed to the master boot record of the sda drive where Ubuntu is installed so you need to manually configure the windows boot files to boot Ubuntu. You should be able to download third party software such as EasyBCD to do that on windows. You could also re-install the Ubuntu Grub bootloader to the master boot record and it should automatically detect other (windows) installations and create an entry in the menu. The problem with the second method is that if you then remove Ubuntu, you will not be able to boot unless you can reinstall windows to the mbr with an installation disk.
