GRUB Error 17 after reinstall of XP (FC 2)

Hi,

I got a new hard drive and installed it so my system had two hard-drives:
The old one which was dual-boot: FC 2 / XP HOME, and the new one
on which I installed XP PRO.

Of course I should have realized that this would ruin grub, which it did so I now only can boot the two windows systems. I used the FC 2 cd 1 in rescue mode, and typed:
chroot /mnt/sysimage
sbin/grub-installer /dev/hda

When I restarted I just got a blinking cursor. After a while I realized that this was actually grub waiting for me to choose operating system.
When I chose FC2 i got the following error message:

root hd0,2
Filesystem type unknown, partition type 0x82
kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.10-1.771_FC2 ro root=Label=/ rhgb quiet

Error 17: cannot mount selected partition

I later used:
chroot /mnt/sysimage
sbin/grub-installer /dev/hda --recheck

Which didn't solve the problem (although I think it
properly identified the new harddrive)

When i type (in resuce mode):
fdisk -l /dev/hda
I get:
Enhed boot start end BlocksId System
/dev/hda1 * 1 11104 7 HPFS/NTFS
/dev/hda2 11105 12124
