Red face GRUB Boot Loader Error

Hello Everyboady,

I'm a newbie in linux, First I've connected 02 HDD in my PC, On First HDD I have Installed 02 windows OS in different partition. On Second HDD I have installed FC9, Both were working fine. But we have requirement for adding 01 HDD in my PC So I have add 01 HDD. Time of Connecting HDD I have change the IDE Port of boot loader HDD (may be). After Connecting my PC has not booting in any OS. It is showing only GRUB and hang on it. I have try to re-install GRUB boot loader through FC8 Rescue CD. but problem still not solved.
If anybody know about it then please inform me how to solve this problem.

Thanks in advance

When grub is shown, press E then edit the line "root (x,y)" to point to the location of the partition with the /boot directory (this line starts counting at 0, so your first partiton on first drive is 0,0, second partition on first drive is 0,1, first partition on second drive is 1,0, etc., and the line containing "root=/dev/..." to the partition containing the / directory. Once you get this working, you should make the changes permanent by writing them to /boot/grub/menu.lst.

So is it hanging before you have a chance to select any OSes in the Grub menu? If that is the case, and if Grub is installed correctly, you might have an issue with how your HDD is configured in BIOS. Do you get any Grub errors at all on start up?
