Grub and gentoo
 

hi,

i have install Gentoo this afternoon

2005.1

my hdd is a SATA

my configuration :

SDA1 /boot ext2 (Bootable)
SDA5 /home ext3
SDA6 / ext3
SDA7 SWAP swap
SDA8 /var ext3

my grub.conf :

and when the system boot...

'The root block device is unspecified or not detected'
Please specify a device to boot or shell for a shell...

when i try to keyin '/dev/sda1' result 'kernel panic'

Anyone can give solution ?
