grub


hi.i install windows after linux.now i can't see the grub loder and i can't load linux without startup disk.how can i repair thet.if i have to edit grub.conf plz say how. i use redhat 9

We would be better able to help you if you could tell us the Linux distribution you are using.

Generally you can boot up using the linux rescue disk that comes with the distro and make amends.

your mbr has been overwritten by windows we can overwrite it back when you use the rescue disk to boot into linux and then re-install grub to mbr

when in linux read your /etc/fstab file to see if you have a /boot paritition otherwise its a subfolder of /

then use grub to install into mbr
