Cool Group list


hi guys, when i type cat /etc/group

some of the lines has this:

users:x:100: - means what?

postfix:!:51: - means what?

root:x:0:administrator - means what?

nogroup:x:65534:nobody - means what?

appreciate for any inputs that will help to shed a light.

thanks in advance.

A simple search would turn up things like this which answer your question. Searching LQ and searching the web should always be the first step in answering your questions.

Thank you guys, I always do Googling, but when I came across with this questions.
The first thing that comes to my mind was LQ.
